Kylie Minogue has shared her nerves ahead of the launch of her Las Vegas residency in November.
After topping the charts with her 16th album ‘Tension’, Kylie is headed Stateside for the shows, which will mark her first extended run in Sin City.
But with the new Voltaire venue not even built yet, she admits it could all go “down to the wire”.
“I open at the start of November,” she says (via Daily Star Wired). “We’re just in the stages of putting it together, the venue hasn’t even finished its build yet.
“I’m sure it’s going to be down to the wire with plenty of drama.”
Revealing the venue – which is located at The Venetian – takes inspiration from the likes of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley’s time in Vegas, she adds: “It’s based on a mix between a 1930s club and a 1970s kind of Frank Sinatra, Elvis venue where there were booths and lamps and cocktails.
“Later in the evening there will be me but prior to that it’s meant to be part of a bigger experience.”
At a Los Angeles launch for the dates, Kylie opened up about her plans for the concerts, which will encompass her greatest hits rather than tying in directly with the release of the new album.
“I want it to be the kind of essence of what a Kylie show has become, enough glamour and abandon,” she shared. “I’ve got some versions of songs that have not been heard, like reinterpretations of songs, which is exciting. Live bed dances, amazing costumes.
“That’s the base and then we’ll see what surprises we can come up with,” the Aussie star revealed, while admitting she feels like she’s “earned the right” to take her concert experience to Vegas.

“I was thinking years ago I want to do it when I’m younger like, I don’t want to do it when I’m at the sunset of my career,” she smiled of the show, which will feature tracks from her forthcoming album, ‘Tension’, alongside hits such as Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, Spinning Around and Slow.
Kylie will premiere her Las Vegas show at the Voltaire nightclub at The Venetian on November 4.
