Kylie Minogue is planning to switch things up on her next album.
The pop superstar smashed chart records with her latest LP ‘DISCO’, which saw her become the first female artist to top the UK charts across five consecutive decades.
Now, she’s hard at work on its follow-up and, speaking to Vogue, Kylie hinted at what’s to come from her latest project.
Citing her 2003 chart-topper Slow as a reference point, she told the fashion bible: “It’s still one of my favourite songs — it doesn’t matter what you do with Slow or what version you play, it always works!
“I think about what that song did for me back in its time, and I’d like to make something like that again that pushes my boundaries a little bit.”
While she’s previously teased an “electro-pop” sound for the record, Kylie has otherwise remained tight-lipped when it comes to the new music.
In our review of ‘DISCO’, Retro Pop said the album “comes just in time to help us dance through the darkness and back into the light.
“’DISCO’ is packed with upbeat, care-free ’70s inspired dance music – and, frankly, that’s just what we needed right now!”
