Kylie Minogue has shared new details about her forthcoming 16th studio album.
Having released her latest, record-breaking LP ‘DISCO’ back in 2020, the Aussie superstar has been hard at work on its follow-up and has revealed she’s “ready for new music”.
“I’ve been making albums now for over 30 years but each one is a different journey,” she said (via The Sun).
“I can’t reveal what the sound is yet but it is all super exciting. It’s always a challenge to find that next sound.”
She added: “My last album was mostly made during lockdown. To be back in the studio with some of my favourite people is simply a joy.”
The Spinning Around singer has been working on the project for some time and, according to BMG president Alistair Norbury, will launch in the first half of 2023.
He said: “Next year we’ll start [the campaign for] our third album with Kylie, and we only expected to do one.
“So the roster is building to a size where it is almost self-sustaining,” he added, confirming the label has planned its “Q1 and Q2” releases for 2023, hinting at a potential launch date.
The pop superstar is expected to debut tracks from the LP during her performance at Sydney WorldPride in February 2023.
