Kylie Minogue’s upcoming album is said to launch a “strong and empowered era” for the pop superstar.
The hotly-anticipated follow-up to 2020’s ‘DISCO’ is due later this year, with sources telling The Sun’s Bizarre column the LP has “a real sense of power and freedom”.
According to insiders, song titles for the project include When You Love Someone, Hold On To Now and Tension, and producer Sky Adams, with whom Kylie worked on hits like Dancing and Stop Me From Falling, is believed to be involved in the recording.
The subject matter reportedly centres on her split from boyfriend of five years, Paul Solomons, with sources telling MailOnline: “Kylie has partnered with the producer Sky Adams to produce emotional dance music for her next record and will detail the breakdown of some of her past relationships with the record.
“The pair have spent weeks writing new songs for her album and have found a single which addresses the need for people to communicate clearly in a relationship.”
Talk of the new album comes after Kylie released her first new music since 2021 with the Oliver Heldens collaboration 10 Out of 10, which is set to feature on expanded editions of her 16th studio album.
In February, the Love at First Sight hitmaker delivered a stellar eight-song set as she returned to the stage at Sydney WorldPride – including a surprise appearance from her sister Dannii.
The pop superstar packed in the hits for the hotly-anticipated performance, delivering classics like Spinning Around, Can’t Get You Out of My Head and Slow, along with fan-favourites Light Years, Get Out of My Way and Supernova.
Closing out the set, Dannii joined her sister for a duet version of her 2010 single All The Lovers, with the pair sporting dazzling pink and blue outfits for the number.
Released in 2020, her most recent LP ‘DISCO’ topped the UK Charts and saw Kylie become the first female artist to land a No. 1 in five consecutive decades.
