Kylie Minogue will headline the Sydney WorldPride 2023 opening concert.
The Aussie star will grace the stage at the Live and Proud: Sydney WorldPride Opening Concert, presented by American Express, on February 24.
It marks the first time that WorldPride has been hosed in the Southern Hemisphere – 45 years after the first Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

“YES! I’m so excited to announce that I will be performing at the opening concert in Sydney,” said Kylie. “Can’t wait to see you there!”
‘Australian Idol’ winner Casey Donovan and drag superstar Courtney Act will host the event, with additional acts set to be announced later this year.
The news comes as Kylie is hard at work on tracks for her forthcoming 16th album which, according to BMG president Alistair Norbury, will launch in the first half of 2023.
He said: “Next year we’ll start [the campaign for] our third album with Kylie, and we only expected to do one.
“So the roster is building to a size where it is almost self-sustaining,” he added, confirming the label has planned its “Q1 and Q2” releases for 2023, hinting at a potential launch date.
Before then, Kylie’s sixth album ‘Impossible Princess’ will be reissued across vinyl formats in October, in celebration of its 25th anniversary.
‘Impossible Princess: 25th Anniversary Edition’ is out October 21 and available to pre-order now.
