Kings Of Leon have released Split Screen as the second single from their forthcoming album ‘Can We Please Have Fun’.
The track is the second to be issued from the Nashville band’s ninth album and showcases a more introspective sound from the group.
“We like this song. We thought the fans would like it too,” they said. “Split Screen may give people a little insight into the depth of the album, coming off of hearing Mustang.”

Due May 10, ‘Can We Please Have Fun’ was produced with new collaborator Kid Harpoon and sees Kings Of Leon return to their origins, while pushing their sound into new territory.
“It was the most enjoyable record I’ve ever been a part of,” says Caleb Followill, with bandmate Nathan Followill agreed, adding: “It’s like we allowed ourselves to be musically vulnerable… I love it when a rock band is not embarrassed to admit that every song doesn’t have to be on 11.”
According to a press release, the album sees Kings Of Leon “unified in vision and purpose, freed from stress, and basking in an atmosphere of positivity”.
