Kim Wilde has new music on the way – and it’s the best of her career, according to her brother and collaborator, Ricky.
The pair have been working together since the start of Kim’s career, when Ricky co-wrote Kids In America with their dad, Marty.

That partnership has continued through the decades and he’s once again involved in the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Here Come The Aliens’, which marked her return to the UK charts after more than 25 years away.
Although details of the new record have yet to be confirmed, Ricky teased the project on social media, sharing: ”Cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for you to hear Kim’s @kimwilde new album.. honestly think it’s the best yet! Bangin’ baby”
Speaking to RETROPOP in 2021, Ricky opened up about the pair’s approach to making albums, insisting he and Kim head into the studio together “when it feels right”.
“It’s an organic thing,” he shared. “It suddenly comes to you one day and you think, ‘We’ve got four or five tracks here, and they sound like they could be a part of something.’
“That’s how ‘Here Come The Aliens’ happened, because she had obviously the experience in the garden and seeing these orbs, and it really, really affected her in a massive way.
“Everything just fell into place after that, because she had the idea for how the sleeve should be and, lyrically, how things were going to sound. They’re not all about aliens, but there is a definite cohesive sound and a vibe about it.”
