Kim Wilde would love to delve into her musical vault and unearth some of her lesser-known tracks for a new ‘Anti Tour’.

The Never Trust a Stranger star is celebrating 40 years in music with her new ‘Pop Don’t Stop: Greatest Hits’ anthology, due August 6, and accompanying live shows.

While that show will feature singles from across the decades, Kim is keen to perform album tracks, outtakes and B-sides as part of a second series of gigs, which she’s been discussing with brother and collaborator Ricky.

Speaking on the ‘Ricky Wilde’s Unsung Heroes’ podcast during a track-by-track of the new compilation LP, she said: “Touched by Your Magic is one of my all-time favourite songs that we’ve recorded.

“I think it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s a beautiful song,” added the You Came star. “Rick and I talk about doing an Anti Tour and that song would find its way there.”

Meanwhile, Kim also revealed plans for an expanded setlist for her 2022 ‘Greatest Hits’ trek, featuring a “combination of approaches” to songs, including adapted arrangements and medleys of tracks.

Two that will definitely appear in the running order, according to the singer, are Can’t Get Enough (Of Your Love) and Million Miles Away.

She says of the latter: “It’s a song we’re definitely really looking forward to introducing back into the set when we do the ‘Greatest Hits’ Tour next year, so we’re definitely going to bring that back to life.”

Kim returned last month with Shine On, her stunning collaboration with Boy George, and a new duet looks to be on the way ahead of the album release, with Tom Aspaul joining her on You’re My Karma.

Arriving 40 years after the release of her massive debut hit Kids in America, ‘Pop Don’t Stop: Greatest Hits‘ comes courtesy of Cherry Red Records and is available in a standard 2CD format, along with a 5CD + 2DVD box set.

The 2CD edition features the radio edits of many of Kim’s classic hits, including Kids in America, You Came, You Keep Me Hangin’ On, Love is Holy and Kandy Krush, as well as two brand new tracks.

Meanwhile, the box set includes additional singles, as well as B-sides and an eclectic selection of remixes, several of which are making their CD debut.

It also features a deluxe booklet with lyrics and a DVD collection of nearly 50 tracks.
