Kim has been working on the new album with her brother, Ricky, who has co-written many of her hit singles throughout the years and recently teased the new project in a post on X.
“Cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for you to hear Kim’s @kimwilde new album.. honestly think it’s the best yet! Bangin’ baby,” he said.
Speaking to RETROPOP in 2021, Ricky opened up about the pair’s approach to making albums, insisting he and Kim head into the studio together “when it feels right”.
“It’s an organic thing,” he shared. “It suddenly comes to you one day and you think, ‘We’ve got four or five tracks here, and they sound like they could be a part of something.’
“That’s how ‘Here Come The Aliens’ happened, because she had obviously the experience in the garden and seeing these orbs, and it really, really affected her in a massive way.
“Everything just fell into place after that, because she had the idea for how the sleeve should be and, lyrically, how things were going to sound. They’re not all about aliens, but there is a definite cohesive sound and a vibe about it.”
