Kelly Rowland’s latest EP ‘K’ was inspired by her husband’s man cave – where she set up her home studio amid the pandemic.
The former Destiny’s Child star dropped her latest collection back in February, featuring the singles Coffee, Crazy, Black Magic and Flowers, and she told Kelly Clarkson her man Tim Weatherspoon played a special part in the creation of the six-track set.
Revealing she took over his area of their home to create her new music, Kelly explained: “He’s got these cool black and white pictures and this nice green [paint] on the walls.”
And although the Commander star has finished up recording for now, she confessed to the singer and TV host she’s not ready to vacate the space just yet.
Kelly, who gave birth to the couple’s second son, Noah, in January, added: “He’s like, ‘Am I gonna ever see my cave again?’, and I’m like, ‘Hmmm, maybe’.”
The star’s youngest son, Noah Jon, joins his big brother Titan, six, in the visuals for the singer’s most recent release, Black Magic, which dropped earlier this year.
In the footage, Kelly wears a ‘Mom’ necklace and holds the tot close to her chest as Titan leans in to kiss his new sibling.
The When Love Takes Over singer also shares clips from the final days of her pregnancy, with her bulging belly turned into a work of art as it’s painted like a globe, with the word’ ‘Love’ spelt out over Africa.
In a review of ‘K’, Retro Pop said the EP “lights the way for a bright future for Rowland and leaves us thirsty for album No. 5”.
