Katy Perry has covered The Beatles’ All You Need is Love for Gap’s holiday commercial.
The Teenage Dream star dropped the cover on Monday – which also happens to be her birthday – alongside a visual for the tune.
In the ad, she wakes up and begins singing the 1967 hit as she prepares to hit the set and grabs coffee in a Gap sweatshirt and baseball hat.
Katy later changes into a pink turtleneck jumper and matching hat and sweatpants as she performs the tune on her acoustic guitar.
“Reimagining one of the most recognizable and emotional songs of our time with an iconic brand like Gap, having such a special and important message, has been a dream,” said Katy, whose first job, aged 16, was folding clothes at the Gap in Santa Barbara, California.
“And what better reason to partner than bringing people together to spread joy for the holidays and raise money for Baby2Baby, a charity that’s close to my heart. Children are our future.”
All You Need is Love is available across digital platforms and a donation of $1 will be made for every stream of the song on Spotify, up to $100,000.
