John Lennon’s son Julian has credited the new Beatles movie for making him “love my father again”.
The film, helmed by Peter Jackson, debuts across three parts on Disney+ this week and focuses on the making of the band’s penultimate studio album ‘Let It Be’.
It showcases The Beatles’ final concert as a band on London’s Savile Row rooftop and, after attending a special screening of the documentary in Los Angeles, Julian opened up about the experience on Instagram.
He penned: “What an Amazing night… Firstly seeing Get Back and then [attending] Stella’s event afterwards.”
“The One True thing I can say about it all is that it has made me so proud, inspired & feel more love for my/our family, than ever before.
“The film has made me love my father again, in a way I can’t fully describe.”
Meanwhile, Jackson recently teased the movie will make the legendary band “seem young again”, telling The Guardian: “I just can’t believe it exists.”
It’s not the only recent celebration of the Fab Four; a new exhibition of Paul McCartney’s iconic lyrics is currently on display at The British Library, through March.
