Jo O’Meara admits an S Club reunion to celebrate the group’s 25th anniversary is unlikely.
The singer returns with her second solo album ‘With Love’ and has already revealed plans to re-record a handful of the group’s biggest hits for her next project.
Speaking to Retro Pop while promoting the album, the singer addressed the future of the band, which formed in 1998 and last reunited for their 12-date ‘Bring It All Back 2015’ Tour, and insisted they have no plans to reunite in the near future.
When asked about the possibility of a reunion tour and new music, she mused: “I think everyone is busy living their own lives and having their individual careers.
“Seven people is a lot to round up,” she said, adding, “There are no plans.”
While the group may not be getting back on stage together anytime soon, Jo said her bandmates “seem to be doing well”.
“I’m not sure if anyone has heard the album… If they have, I really hope they like it,” she smiled.
‘With Love’ features the singles On The Surface and Sweet Surrender, both of which were co-written by the star, along with her cover of John Waite’s Missing You.
In an album announcement, Jo said: “I’ve made this album with all my love, but I’m also sending it with love to all the fans out there that have been so supportive to me for all of these years, through the ups and downs.
“I’m so proud of what I’ve done with this album, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
‘With Love’ is available to pre-order now on CD and Cassette.
