Jennifer Lopez is the latest recipient of WSJ. Magazine’s Pop Culture Innovator of the Year Award .
The If You Had My Love star will be presented with the accolade during a live stream ceremony on November 11th and, in a pre-recorded acceptance speech, she insists she has no plans to slow down anytime soon
“Until the world is 100 per cent perfect and completely fixed I will never be done,” she says. “Every day I’m trying to be a better version of myself.”
Columbian singer Maluma — who previously collaborated with J.Lo on the singles Pa’ Ti and Lonely — praises her for “all the hard work and sacrifice she’s made over the years” and “paving the way for so many other Latin artists” while introducing the singer.
“Her creativity, her passion, the perfection she brings to the studio, and onset is the reason she’s a superstar and the reason I’m proud to present this award,” admits the hitmaker.
The virtual ceremony takes place from 7 pm ET and registration for the event, which also stars Patti Smith, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and James Corden, among others, is open now.
