Pulp will reunite in 2023 for a string of live shows.
Frontman Jarvis Cocker teased their comeback with a cryptic video on Instagram, which asked, “What exactly do you do for an encore?”
The quote references lyrics from their 1998 single This Is Hardcore and, speaking at a fan Q&A in London, Jarvis confirmed the Britpop legends are back.
“It was deliberately cryptic,’ he said of the post, which caused a frenzy among fans. “Next year, Pulp are going to play some concerts.”
Jarvis and bandmates Russell Senior, Candida Doyle, Nick Banks, Steve Mackey and Mark Webber split in 2002.
They reunited in 2010 and went on to play sets at Glastonbury, along with headline slots at Reading and Leeds festival, before winding down in 2012 with a final gig in their hometown of Sheffield.
Full dates for the tour have yet to be confirmed.
