James Blunt has shared details of his eighth studio album ‘Airplane Mode’.
Due November 6 on Atlantic Records, the LP is the follow-up to his 2023 record ‘Who We Used To Be‘ and features 12 new tracks, including the new single ‘Weight Of It All’; an acoustic number that explores the pressures of modern life.
Billed as a return to form for the singer-songwriter, who recorded most of the project at Pig Music Studios in Oxfordshire, Blunt says: “Somewhere back there, I lost my way, but found it again in a studio in Banbury.”
Since releasing his last record, Blunt celebrated 20 years of his classic debut LP ‘Back to Bedlam’ – featuring the global, chart-topping hit ‘You’re Beautiful’ – with a remastered 20th anniversary edition and world tour.
‘Airplane Mode’ is released on November 9 and available to pre-order from Amazon, HMV, Rough Trade, Townsend and more. Listen to ‘Wight Of It All’ below.
