Coinciding with his 20th year in music, Jack Savoretti returns with his ninth studio album and a project that sees the singer-songwriter return to his roots.
‘We Will Always Be The Way We Were’, due April 10, serves as the follow-up to the ‘Greatest Mistake’ singer’s first Italian-language LP, ‘Miss Italia’ (2024), and was written and recorded with his long-time touring band.
“This is a full-circle album,” he says of the project. “It’s going back to my roots, to the neighbourhood where I first started making music — with the same friends and musicians I met around Ladbroke Grove and Portobello Road.
“It’s the album I always wanted to make when I was starting out, but didn’t yet have the courage or experience to make. Now I do.”
Included are the recent singles ‘Do It For Love‘ — co-written with Miles Kane — and ‘Only Gonna Cry For You‘, featuring Steph Fraser.
Also featured is the latest single, title song ‘We Will Always Be The Way We Were’, on which the ‘Catapult’ singer adds: “I don’t think we ever really change. We grow and we evolve.”
Following the record’s release, he’s set to play a special one-off show at London’s Royal Albert Hall on April 23, tickets for which sold out in under an hour.
