Imagination and Leee John are celebrating 40 years of hits with a brand new box set.
Curated by the singer himself, the collection features 189 tracks across 17 CDs, including all of their studio albums from 1981’s ‘Body Talk’, up until 2016’s ‘Retropia’.
Bursting onto the scene with their ‘81 Top 10 debut single, which served as the title track of the group’s first long-player, after making waves on the UK’s pirate jazz-funk and soul stations, Imagination achieved international success in the first half of the decade.

During that period, they released three Top 40 albums and scored a run of hit singles including three UK Top 10s: Body Talk, Just an Illusion and Music and Lights.
Included on the set are collaborations with producers including Tony Swain / Steve Jolley, Arthur Baker, and Nick Martinelli, along with remixes by David Morales and Frankie Knuckles, among others.
Alongside their studio output, also included features a 2CD collection of ‘Unreleased Trax, Mixes and Demos’, a 2CD collection of alternate and unreleased mixes from ‘Closer’ in ‘Closer Revisited’, a ‘Live Trax’ disc from several shows spanning the decades and a disc of extended versions in ‘12” Singles Selection’.
The initial pressing comes packaged with a limited edition signed print.
