Revealing he’s “been working for months” on the solo show, Holly says: “All of a sudden with a Boom Bang A Bang the Eurovision Song Contest asked Frankie to reform for a one-off exclusive performance at their Opening Ceremony, [and] it’s all gone Ballistic ever since we said yes.”

Tickets for the concerts go on sale from 10am BST on May 12.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood reunited for their first performance in 36 years to help launch the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest – watch their reunion set here.

Taking place in Liverpool on behalf of last year’s winners Ukraine, the group – starring Holly Johnson, Brian Nash, Paul Rutherford, Mark O’Toole and Peter Gill – got back together for a one-off show on Sunday night.

Marking the classic line-up’s first performance together since the eighties, the group hit the stage at St George’s Plateau to play their classic hit, Welcome To The Pleasuredome.

The group appeared as part of a star-studded line-up, including Atomic Kitten, The Real Thing, and The Lightning Seeds, along with Austria’s 2014 Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst and Ukrainian winner Jamala from 2016.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood scored a run of hit singles, including the chart-topping Relax, Two Tribes, and The Power of Love, before splitting in 1987. They last reunited in 2003 for VH1’s ‘Bands Reunited’, however they did not perform.
