Holly Johnson’s debut solo album will be reissued later this year to mark its 35th anniversary.
Originally released back in 1989, the LP was the first to be released by the Frankie Goes To Hollywood frontman and topped the UK charts.
Featuring two Top 10 hits, Love Train and Americanos, the record will be re-released on red vinyl and cassette to mark its latest milestone, which takes place next April.
Of the September 29 release, Johnson says: “‘Blast’ in a Nutshell – My exploding red hot vinyl, from the fag end of the nineteen eighties. It’s not purple, but it’s mine all mine.
“Thirty-five years in the same house, the vibes are still here. Still alive in 2023.”
Alongside the album, a range of merch including T-shirts, tote bags and more is also on sale.
‘Blast’ is available to pre-order now.
