Hilary Duff has shared details of her first album in over a decade.
Due February 20, 2026, ‘luck… or something’ serves as the follow-up to her 2015 record, ‘Breathe In. Breathe Out.’ and features lead single, Mature, which is out now.
Announcing the album, the Wake Up singer shared: “I am often asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry.
“The album title is my way of answering that question. It’s luck, but there’s also a lot of weight in the ‘…or something’. Many of the things I’ve been through along the way are held there, and I feel like ultimately that’s what’s shaped me.”
On the album’s launch track, Hilary says Mature is “autofiction inspired by romantic misadventures in her formative years.”
“Mature is a little conversation that my present self is having with my younger self,” she explains.
“The two of us are reflecting on an experience and sending love to each other. It’s a chuckle, a wink, and a sense of being grateful that we are sure-footed in where we landed.”
A collaboration with her Grammy-winning songwriter/producer husband, Matthew Koma, the project is accompanied by an intimate docuseries about Hilary’s return to music.
The former ‘Lizzie McGuire’ star signed to Atlantic Records ahead of her return to music and the show will explore the highs and lows of her comeback, with stylised interviews, performances, and videos from Hilary’s personal archive
Directed and executive-produced by Grammy-nominated filmmaker Sam Wrench, who previously helmed ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’, it’s expected to drop alongside the album.
‘luck… or something’ is out on February 20, 2026 and available to pre-order from Amazon, HMV, Rough Trade, Townsend and more. Listen to Mature below.
The album is preceded by a run of intimate shows – dubbed ‘Small Rooms, Big Nerves’ – with stops across North America, Canada and the UK.
Launching on January 19 at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, the run will continue at HISTORY in Toronto on January 24, New York City’s Brooklyn Paramount on January 27, and Los Angeles’ Wiltern on January 29.
On the live dates, Hilary said: “It’s happening.
“I’m over the moon to be stepping on stage again. I’ve got some new songs that I can’t wait to share with you and of course some old favorites we can scream together. It’s been a minute and I’ve missed you. Let’s make some mems.”
