Hazell Dean is working on a new album.
The Hi-NRG star – who released her most recent studio collection, ‘Nightlife’, back in 2015 – confirmed plans to return to recording in a social media post.
“New album coming for 2023,” she penned, with Hazell’s label, SP Music, revealing she’ll be in the studio in March.
The Searchin’ (I Gotta Find a Man) hitmaker released her most recent single Suddenly Love Came Around in December and, speaking to RETROPOP last year, she insisted more music is on the way.
In 2021, Hazell announced her retirement from live performing, but in the time since has released a series of compilation LPs and the mini-album ‘8’.
Addressing the decision, she said: “I couldn’t give music up completely – it’s been my whole life since I was seven years old. I’ve always sang, so you can’t just cut it off.
“That’s why it’s nice that I can go into the studio and be creative; that keeps my musical thing going. There’s definitely more music to come. There’s still a couple of years in me yet.”
