Singer-songwriter Daniel James has shared his latest single Do You Remember Me.
The musician, who shot to fame in the early 1990s as one-half of pop duo Yell!, slows things down on the mid-tempo number, which “addresses feelings people might have when they see an ex at a distance and memories come flooding back.”
“It’s based on mine and friends experiences after I saw an ex some time ago across an aisle in a store,” Daniel explains. “They didn’t see me….
“I had ended the relationship but when I saw them I was frozen to the spot as memories of all the good times we had shared came flooding back and ran like a little film across my mind.
“I began asking myself…did I do the right thing….should I go back…”
He adds: “Do You Remember Me is about remembering the good times but realising that you left for a reason and its best to move on.”
Following its release, the single has entered the Top 20 of Mike Read’s Heritage Chart Show, as voted for by listeners.
Do You Remember Me follows Daniel’s previous releases Set Your Spirit Free and Don’t Want to Lose That Girl.
