Shania Twain pulled out all the stops as she launched her ‘Queen of Me Tour’ in Spokane, Washington with a dazzling set of new material, career classics, and deep cuts.

The country pop superstar’s latest shows are in support of her chart-topping album of the same name and will play across the US this summer, before hitting the UK in September.

Shania Twain returning to bar circuit roots with intimate London pub show

Opening with the energetic opening chords of recent single Waking Up Dreaming, Shania made her grand surprise entrance and emerged from the stands to a roaring crowd, as she belted out the anthem before heading to the stage.

With screens entrenched with colourful, other-wordly visuals, showcasing a rocketship initialled ‘ST’, the superstar kept the party going with a knockout run of hits including Up!, Don’t Be Stupid (You Know I Love You) and I’m Gonna Getcha Good.

The night continued with performances of several of Shania’s iconic tracks from over the years, with Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?, Any Man Of Mine, From This Moment On and You’re Still The One all making appearances, along with more recent tracks such as Giddy Up!, Inhale/Exhale AIR and Number One.

Debuted earlier this month at the Tortuga Music Festival, a fan-favourite medley of songs she hasn’t performed in decades – Nah!, She’s Not Just A Pretty Face, Waiter! Bring Me Water!, When and Thank You Baby! (For Makin’ Someday Come So Soon) – was another crowd pleaser.

Closing with the double-punch of That Don’t Impress Me Much – in the original, iconic leopard print costume – and Man! I Feel Like A Woman!, it proved the ultimate celebration of all things Shania Twain.

Check out pictures from the opening night below.
