Everything But The Girl have released a new version of their comeback single Nothing Left To Lose courtesy of Four Tet.
Lifted from the duo’s forthcoming album ‘Fuse’ – their first in over 20 years – the garage-influenced track is the first to be remixed from the record.
“We’ve always loved that meditative but propulsive thing in [Four Tet aka] Kieran [Hebden]’s music. The restraint mixed with momentum,” said Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt.
“It is something that we often explore as well, so asking him to rework one of our songs felt like a great fit. There is a confident lightness of touch to his remix, underpinned by a raw killer beat, and a beautiful final third where all the subtle intricacies of his additional production coalesce.”
Alongside the remix and album version, the digital bundle also includes an Extended Club Mix and an Extended Club Dub from Ben and album engineer, Bruno Ellingham.

Everything But The Girl scored four UK Top 10 singles and 12 Top 40 singles, with their biggest hit Missing also peaking at No. 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1995.
They haven’t performed together publicly since 2000.
‘Fuse’ is out April 21 and available to pre-order now.
