Everything But The Girl have released the second single from their new album ‘Fuse’.
Caution To The Wind follows lead release Nothing Left To Lose, which marked their first new music in 24 years.
Of the song , Tracey Thorn says: “Lyrically, Caution To The Wind is a simple song about arrival and seizing the moment, so with the music we tried to capture the feeling of a perpetual point in time.”
“I let the words quickly collapse and loop inside the production,” adds Ben Watt. “The drums emerge and repeat, and everything then starts to unfold in cycles of anticipation and release. I guess it’s just classic nightclub tension and euphoria.”
Everything But The Girl scored four UK Top 10 singles and 12 Top 40 singles, with their biggest hit Missing also peaking at No. 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1995.
They haven’t performed together publicly since 2000.
‘Fuse’ is out April 21 and available to pre-order now.
