Enrique Iglesias is considering retiring from making albums.
The singer will release his aptly-titled LP ‘Final’ on September 17 and, according to the Hero hitmaker, it’ll likely be his last full-length project.
He told fellow pop star Sebastian Yatra: “It might be my final album. It’s not something that I have been thinking about for the past few months. It’s something that I have been thinking about for the past few years.
“There’s going to be Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, but they’re final. I’m in that moment in my life, that chapter in my life, where I think it’s the right time to put it out and I’ve been thinking about this since 2015.”
However, Enrique insisted he won’t stop making music.
He explained: “I’m never going to stop writing songs because I love writing songs, but I’m going to do it in a different way – meaning they don’t necessarily have to be packaged as an album – so this project to me is important.”
Enrique’s new record is his first since 2014’s ‘Sex and Love’ and will feature collaborations with several artists.
It comes following a period of standalone collaborations from the star, including tracks with Bad Bunnyand Pitbull.
The hitmaker released his self-titled, Spanish-language debut album in 1995 before crossing over to English-language recording in 1999 with ‘Enrique’, featuring the US No. 1 singles Bailamos and Be with You.
The following year, he scored his first and only solo UK No. 1 hit Hero.
