Lady Gaga and Elton John are reportedly reuniting to work on a “hardcore drum and bass” track together.
Sources close to the pair reveal they’re working on a new version of ‘Chromatica’ track Sine From Above, expected to be included on her forthcoming remix album.
And while the original was a dance-pop number, the new version is set to “shock” fans.
“It’s about as far away from Rocket Man and Candle in the Wind as you can get,” insiders tell The Sun.
“It’s gone from a pop-dance track to extreme hardcore drum and bass.”
The collaboration is one of a number of high-profile duets from Elton in recent months, including cuts with Rina Sawayama and Olly Alexander, plus the Dua Lipa collaboration Cold Heart.
Speaking at the time of ‘Chromatica’s release, Gaga had nothing but praise for Elton, telling Zane Lowe on Apple Music: “He’s been my mentor for a long time.
“I mean, he’s always challenged me to keep my head above water and it’s something that I always appreciate is that he knows when I’m down.
“He just does. And he knows because I hide, because I never want anyone to see me when I’m like that,” she said.
“Elton’s always really challenged me to take care of my artistry and to really take care of myself. And I really, really honour that about him. He is so, so uniquely special.”
