Elton John is such a big fan of Russell T. Davies’ ‘It’s a Sin’ that he’s invited the cast of the show to dinner.
The Rocket Man star was so impressed by drama, starring Olly Alexander, because it made him realise how lucky he was to survive the AIDS crisis in the ‘80s.
Speaking to The Official Big Top 40, Elton revealed he “love(s) that programme so much” that he’s throwing a bash for Russell, Olly and the rest of the cast.
“When I come back to England, which is going to be soon, I’m going to have a dinner for all the cast of ‘It’s A Sin’ at our house because I love that programme so much,” he explained.
“It made me realise how lucky I was to escape all that and to be reminded of what happened.
“And so Russell T. Davies and the cast are going to come to dinner and we’re going to have a laugh.”
Earlier this year, Elton and Olly came together for a duet of Pet Shop Boys’ classic hit It’s a Sin, with proceeds going towards the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
The Tiny Dancer star’s AIDS Foundation was established in the early 1990s to support innovative HIV prevention, education programs, direct care and support services to people living with HIV.
