Elton John has recruited Ed Sheeran for his latest holiday hit.
The Step Into Christmas hitmaker and singer-songwriter Ed came up with the idea on Christmas morning last year.
According to the Bad Habits star, he wasn’t sure he wasn’t sure whether a festive track would “suit” him, but he changed his mind after losing a close friend.
“You don’t know if you’ll still be there tomorrow, everything can change overnight,” he told NPO Radio 2 in the Netherlands.
“I may not be here tomorrow. Why shouldn’t I grab this opportunity?”
Later this month, Elton will release ‘The Lockdown Sessions’, featuring collaborations with Stevie Nicks, Dua Lipa, Lil Nas X and more.
The single Finish Line, featuring Stevie Wonder, is out now.
‘The Lockdown Sessions’, out October 22, is available to pre-order on CD, vinyl and cassette.
