Elbow are back with their latest single, Lovers’ Leap.

The track is the first to be lifted from the band’s forthcoming album, ‘Audio Vertigo’, which is the band’s first full-length release in three years and due March 22.

According to Guy Garvey, the track is designed “not to reflect but distract from the bad things happening in the world.

“We found seedy, gnarly grooves playing in back rooms and those pulled some dark memories and plenty of humour from me.”

Alongside the single, a music video – shot entirely in black and white – sees a woman in a white boiler suit and a man in a black boiler suit running through the streets of London at night.

Listen to Lovers’ Leap and watch the official music video below.

Garvey says the new record was built from “gnarly, seedy grooves created by us playing together in ‘garagey rooms’” and is more direct and sonically varied than its predecessor, 2021’s ‘Flying Dream 1’.
