Duran Duran have released their new single Laughing Boy.
Kicking off with a synth-laden soundscape courtesy of Nick Rhodes, the new tune blossoms with a larger than life chorus showcasing Simon Le Bon’s always-impressive vocals.
The song is lifted from the deluxe edition of the group’s hit 15th LP ‘Future Past’, which peaked at No. 3 on the UK charts last year.
Featuring three extra tracks, the expanded digital version of the LP is due Friday, February 11.
‘Future Past’ marked Duran Duran’s return to the charts, six years after their previous release ‘Paper Gods’, and was preceded by lead track Invisible.
In a review of the album, Retro Pop called ‘Future Past’ “the group’s strongest album in years” and a record that “opens new musical possibilities for Duran Duran”.
