Dua Lipa has shared an extended “clubby” version of her hit single, Houdini.
Co-written by the singer with Caroline Ailin, Danny L. Harle , Tobias Jesso Jr. and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker – with Parker and Hale serving as producers – the track offers the first taste of her third studio LP and has been reworked at almost-six-minutes with an extra verse.
“When I was in the studio working on Houdini with my collaborators, we always had this dream of releasing a clubby, house mix of the record,” she said in a press release.
“The song was already the perfect soundtrack to a sweaty night out, but the new third verse just takes it to a whole new level. We’re putting it out into the world a little earlier than expected, but the fans just couldn’t wait! Think of it as an early holiday gift from me to you.”
The team behind the track are key collaborators on the superstar’s yet-to-be-announced album, which she says was “written in those joyous moments of absolute chaos and how I moved through the world with lightness and optimism of whatever the outcome may be”
