Deacon Blue have treated fans to the new song How We Remember It during their 2024 run of summer shows.
The track offers a preview of their forthcoming album, marking the band’s first studio release since 2021’s ‘Riding On The Tide Of Love‘.
Lead-singer Ricky Ross, known for his candid and engaging stage presence, playfully acknowledged a common sentiment among concert-goers, quipping: “There are four words every concert-goer hates: ‘Here’s a new song!’”
He humourously suggested that those not interested in hearing fresh material might want to head to the bar instead.
Despite this tongue-in-cheek approach, the reception to How We Remember It has been overwhelmingly positive. Fans embraced the new song which shows their unwavering support for the band that has given them timeless hits like Real Gone Kid, When Will You Make My Telephone Ring and Your Swaying Arms.
There’s much excitement and anticipation surrounding the new album – meanwhile Deacon Blue continue their ‘All The Old 45s’ run of shows throughout the rest of the year.
