David Bowie‘s classic ‘Hunky Dory’ album will be released as a deluxe reissue this autumn.
The music legend’s fourth LP is set to be repackaged with unreleased home demos, live recordings and other rarities from that era.
Titled ‘Divine Symmetry (An Alternate Journey Through Hunky Dory)’, the collection is presented as a 4CD/Blu-Ray package, including 48 previously unreleased tracks and demos from the 12 months leading up to the release of the seminal 1971 record.

Disc one contains home and hotel room demos of album tracks and unreleased cuts, such as King Of The City, How Lucky You Are (Miss Peculiar) and Tired Of My Life, with the collection also featuring the musician’s 1971 John Peel live session, BBC radio recordings, the ‘BOWPROMO’ EP, B-sides, alternate takes and more.
Also included as part of the box set is a Blu-Ray disc, featuring the 2015 remastered edition of ‘Hunky Dory’ and the titular ‘Alternate Journey Through Hunky Dory’, featuring the album composed of outtake versions, which is due for release as a standalone vinyl in February 2023.
Ahead of its release, Bowie’s previously unreleased rendition of ‘Hunky Dory’ album track Kooks (Sounds Of The 70s: Bob Harris) is out now.
