Dannii Minogue and Tina Arena are teaming up to celebrate 50 years since the launch of ‘Young Talent Time’.
The Australian TV variety series, which ran from 1971 until 1988 (with a brief return in 2012), helped launch global careers for Tina and Dannii, who appeared from 1977-83 and 1982-88, respectively.
It launched on April 24, 1971 and, to mark five decades since the programme began, the 10 network is delving into the history of the show with a ‘Young Talent Time: Unmasked’ special.
Hosted by Toni Pearen, the one-off broadcast will feature appearances from several cast members, who will share their memories of the classic series.
“Young Talent Time: Unmasked comes 50 years after Young Talent Time burst onto the Aussie TV stage and earnt its place in our pop culture history,” 10 said in a statement.
“Hosted by Toni Pearen, whose childhood dream was to be on the Team, the special will re-live all the giddy highs, the backstage drama and heartbreak, and celebrate the moments that turned its young stars into household names.”
‘Young Talent Time: Unmasked’ airs on Australia’s 10 network on September 26 at 8.30 pm local time.
