Christina Aguilera has released La Luz as the “final chapter” of her ‘AGUILERA’ project.
The collection is composed of two Spanish-language EPs – ‘La Fuerza’ and ‘La Tormenta’ – and following its summer release, the superstar has shared one last recording.
Describing La Luz as “one of the most personal projects I’ve ever worked on,” she said: “As a mother, I want to be the strongest, healthiest version of myself for my children.
“I wrote No Es Que Te Extrañe to come full circle, accept, forgive and be set free. Forgiveness begins when heartache turns into freedom.”
Speaking about recording her first Spanish language album in 22 years, the hitmaker recently admitted: “It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for so many years.
“I have an amazing team behind me that’s so supportive. I’ve been in music for a really long time, but there’s nothing like being around Latin musicians and artists, the energy they bring to the table, the love and the passion they just bring and exude.
“I actually am reinspired by music all over again, making this album.”
Christina won a Latin Grammy Award for her first Spanish LP ‘Mi Reflejo’, which dropped a year after her self-titled debut album.
