Cher wowed crowds at Paris Fashion Week when she made a surprise appearance during the finale of the Balmain show.
The pop legend took the stage to her classic hit Strong Enough, wearing a marbled spandex bodysuit for the show-stopping moment, which came at the close of the presentation of creative director Olivier Rousteing’s latest collection.
Shortly afterwards, Cher tweeted that she “had [the] best time” as she teased the show was the first step in her return to the stage post-Covid.
“JUST HAD BEST TIME, ON STAGE…FELT GREAT!! SHOW WAS PROBABLY BEST FASHION SHOW ‘EVER!!,’” she tweeted.
“MODELS WERE BEAUTY FROM ANOTHER UNIVERSE. CLOTHES 2 DIE 4..OLIVIER 2 DIE 4!! STAGE WAS CALLING ME cher…..oh cher….come Home….I HEAR YOU. [sic]”
The show took place in the French capital’s Stade Jean-Bouin with an audience of almost 8,000 people and was billed as a festival rather than a show.
It featured over 100 different looks from Balmain’s SS23 collection.
