Cher donned a mask and wide-brimmed hat as she took to the streets to campaign against President Donald Trump’s cuts to the United States Postal Service (USPS).
The Believe hitmaker offered her services to her local post office in Malibu earlier this month – but hiring staff turned her away.
“OK,Called 2 post offices In Malibu. They were polite. I Said ‘Hi This Is Cher, & I Would like to know If you ever take Volunteers!?’ Lady Said She Didn’t Know & Gave Me # Of Supervisor. I Called & Said Hi This is Cher Do U Accept volunteers.”

Fingerprints & Background Check”?
The pop music icon went on to explain the supervisor said no and explained all potential employees need to submit fingerprints ahead of a background check.
Her effort to volunteer comes as Trump attempts to streamline the postal service – a bid she took to the streets to campaign against this weekend.
Sharing snaps of herself and other protestors outside the post office, Cher tweeted: “Trump’s attacks on the @USPS are designed to undermine the 2020 presidential election.

“It’s up to us to show up & fight to #SaveThePostOffice,” she continued. “Join us to savethepostoffice.net”
In the accompanying photo, she held a sign that read, “Hey Senate! Snap out of it!,” – a reference to her iconic Moonstruck line.
Although Cher admitted she was “disappointed” with the small turn out at her local venue, she vowed to show up and lend her support next weekend alongside the “good people” she campaigned with this week.
