Cher has lifted the lid on her upcoming Christmas album, revealing the project will feature a handful of rare duets from the pop icon.
In the past, the Believe singer has largely shied away from collaborations throughout her solo career, with the Meat Loaf hit Dead Ringer For Love and After All with Peter Cetera among the few from a career spanning 26 studio albums.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, the diva revealed this time around she’s called on some special guests for the record, sharing: “I really am proud of this. It’s a Cher Christmas album. It’s not your mother’s Christmas album.
“I’m really, really excited because there’s millions of people on it!” she added. “I’ve never had duets! I’ve never had people on any of my records! This was a last-minute thing… but they’re special. All of them.”
Earlier this summer, Cher first teased the festive collection on Twitter, writing: “Almost Finished [Christmas emojis] 2 more …12. [sic]”
In a subsequent post, the Strong Enough hitmaker added: “Many Surprises. This is Cher [Christmas] Album. Not Ur Mamas [Christmas]. It’s scary to make something so Different . I [love] it, One Som is one of favorites EVER. [sic]”
