Cher isn’t convinced about returning to the ‘Mamma Mia!’ franchise for a third movie.
The singer made her debut in ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ (2018) as Donna’s mother and Sophie’s grandmother, Ruby Sheridan, with her scenes praised as highlights of the musical film.
Following her appearance in the franchise, Cher went on to record an album of ABBA cover versions, ‘Dancing Queen’, but she’s not sure about signing on for another stint onscreen.
In response to a fan’s tweet about her and co-star Amanda Seyfried, Cher penned: “Love Her… But She Keeps Whispering Mamma Mia 3 in my ear…
“I Said Babe,1&2 Have Used Most Famous Songs,I Made Mamma Mia “ Everyone But you is Ancient. [sic]”
Don’t remember saying that?.Love Her… ,But She Keeps Whispering Mamma Mia 3 in my ?ear..

While a third ‘Mamma Mia!’ movie has yet to be confirmed, creator Judy Craymer has teased a further instalment of the franchise.
She told Daily Mail last year: “I think one day there will be another film, because there’s meant to be a trilogy, you see.
“I know Universal would like me to do it.”
Cher recently confirmed she has new music coming in 2021 – and while she didn’t reveal any further details, she admitted her 27th album could be her last.
“I’m just recording an album now… This might be my last album,” she told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour.
“I feel like Tony Bennett and Betty White. But it could be my last album.”
