Cher has entered the Top 10 of the UK Albums Chart with her new holiday album.
Released in October, the LP – featuring the single DJ Play A Christmas Song – peaked at No. 42 on the countdown, but a UK promo tour has seen it rise 83 spots from last week to No. 8.
Alongside its lead track, ‘Christmas’ includes a selection of original recordings and cover versions, plus collaborations with Stevie Wonder, Darlene Love, Michael Bublé, Tyga and Cyndi Lauper.
In a review of the album, RETROPOP wrote of ‘Christmas’: “Overwhelmingly festive and quintessentially Cher – there’s a new Queen Of Christmas in town!”
