The Cheeky Girls have started their pop comeback with the release of their latest track Let’s Have Fun.
The single is the first new music from the Romanian duo – starring identical twin sisters Gabriela and Monica Irimia – in 15 years.
Alongside the track, which is penned by their mum Margit, they also shared an animated video for the single.
They sing in the chorus: “We just want to have fun, cheeky- cheeky / Two of us is better than one, mm-mm / We just want to have twice as much fun / Two of us is better than one.”
The Cheeky Girls found fame after they auditioned for ‘Popstars: The Rivals’ back in 2002 and went on to release the hit single The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum).
Their other hits include Take Your Shoes Off and a cover of Boney M’s Hooray! Hooray! It’s a Cheeky Holiday, but after their debut album ‘PartyTime’ failed to crack the Top 10 they went quiet.
