Winner of series four of ‘The Masked Singer UK’, Busted star Charlie Simpson, celebrated his victory by releasing a new EP.
The chart-topper, who was unveiled as the voice under the Rhino mask, made the most of the moment by dropping the four-track set across digital platforms.
Titled ‘KIFARU’ – the Swahili word for Rhino – the record features songs that Charlie sang during the series, including Lewis Capaldi’s Before You Go, Kings of Leon’s Use Somebody and Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars.
It opens with a new mix of the original song I See You, originally released in 2020.
Announcing the release, Charlie shared a video on Instagram which showed him removing a different rhino mask, and penned: “Well this has been a hard secret to keep. Reading all of your comments each week has been awesome.
“I’ve been so blown away by the support so I’ve decided to release a few songs I sang on the show as an EP named KIFARU the Swahili word for Rhino. I hope you like it, big love x.”
During the series final, Phoenix finished in second place and was unmasked as Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson, while All Saints star Natalie Appleton was unveiled as Fawn, who finished third overall.
