Céline Dion has received her own Barbie doll inspired by her classic 1998 Oscars look.
Designers at Mattel Creations announced the launch of the Céline Dion Barbie Signature Doll on Wednesday (October 14), priced at £45 ($60).
Presented in a long-sleeve navy blue gown with a replica of the “Heart of the Ocean” necklace from the 1997 blockbuster ‘Titanic’, it’s an homage to the outfit Dion wore to the 1998 Academy Awards, where she performed the movie’s theme, ‘My Heart Will Go On’.
She won the Oscar for Best Original Song on the night.
“It is a true honour to join the Barbie legacy with a doll inspired by one of the most meaningful moments of my career,” says the singer, who is in the midst of the first leg of her residency at the Plenitude Arena in Paris, France.
“I hope this doll inspires everyone to express themselves with confidence, follow their dreams and believe in the power of their own voice.”
Other artists to receive Signature Barbie dolls include Whitney Houston, Kylie Minogue, Diana Ross and Stevie Nicks, among others.
