Days after mysterious posters appeared around the French capital, Céline Dion has shared details of her first live shows since 2022.
The ‘I’m Alive’ singer will return to the city where she last performed during the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony for a series of shows at the 40,000-capacity Paris La Défense Arena between September 12 and October 14.
Marking her first run of concerts since going public with her Stiff Person Syndrome diagnosis, the diva thanked fans for their support in a video shared to Instagram and insisted she’s “stronger” and ready to return to the stage.
“Over the last few years, every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love,” explained the ‘Think Twice’ hitmaker. “You’ve helped me in ways that I can’t even describe, and I’m truly fortunate to have your support.
“This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life – I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September!
“I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited – obviously a little nervous – but most of all, I’m grateful to all of you! I love you all and I’ll see you soon!”
Stiff Person Syndrome is a rare autoimmune neurological disorder that causes progressive muscle stiffness and painful spasms, with the health scare previously causing Dion to axe the remainder of her ‘Courage World Tour’ after it was initially halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tickets go on sale April 10 at 9am BST and are available here. The full list of shows is below.
