Celine Dion has rescheduled the UK and European leg of her ‘Courage’ world tour due to ongoing medical issues.

The trek kicked off in September 2019 but was postponed early in 2020 amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Earlier this year, she cancelled the remaining North American dates, citing “severe and persistent muscle spasms which are preventing her from performing,” and her dates in the UK and Europe have now been delayed to 2023.

“Hi everyone – well, here we are again and I’m so sorry that we have to change our tour plans for Europe one more time,” she said in an emotional Instagram video.

“First we had to move the shows because of the pandemic, now this is my health issues that is causing us to postpone some shows.

“Unfortunately, we have to cancel some too. The good news is that I’m doing a little bit better. It’s going very slow and it’s very frustrating for me.

“I’m getting treatment from my doctors, taking medication, but I’m still experiencing some spasms and it’s taking a lot longer for me to recover than I had hoped.”

Celine continued: “I need to be in top shape when I’m on stage. I honestly can’t wait. But I’m just not there yet. Just telling you how I feel – and I wanted you to know that I’m sorry for this news. I know you’ve all waited so long for the concerts and I appreciate your loyalty.

“By now I am convinced that you should be so fed up with all of this and waiting for so long. But all I can say is that I’m doing my very best to get back to the level that I need to be so that I can give 100 per cent at my shows – cos that’s what you deserve.”

Closing the video, the Think Twice star declared her support for Ukraine, saying: “I hope and pray that this war ends soon. Sending you all my love and prayers for peace.”
