Carly Rae Jepsen has released her new single, Shy Boy.

The Canadian star’s latest track follows her 2022 LP ‘The Loneliest Time’, which became her first UK Top 20 LP in a decade.

Produced by James Ford, the single comes ahead of a run of summer dates in New York and Los Angeles.

Carly’s previous albums, ‘Emotion’ (2015) and ‘Dedicated’ (2019), were both followed by companion projects featuring outtakes from the original albums.

She first teased the possibility of ‘The Loneliest Time Side B’ last October in an interview with The Cut, stating: “We’ll see. I’m not sure if the world’s ready for more of that indulgence.” She later revealed there were 65 songs to narrow down a selection from.

However, earlier this month Carly took to Instagram to answer fan questions and confirmed the project would be “less of a B-sides” and more of a “companion” project to ‘The Loneliest Time’.

Firm details of the release have yet to be confirmed.
