Busted are working on brand new music ahead of their upcoming 20th anniversary greatest hits album and tour.
The Year 3000 hitmakers have been re-recording their classic songs for an upcoming 15-track album, but behind the scenes it seems they’re already looking to the future.
In a post on Twitter, James Bourne confirmed: “We’re recording a new song.”

No further details of the material have been confirmed, with the track following the release of their duet with Hanson on a new version of MMMBop.
They have also released a re-recording of Loser Kid 2.0 featuring Simple Plan and a full band version of acoustic track Meet You There with Neck Deep.
Busted’s 20th anniversary tour is set to kick off in September and play across the UK and Ireland through October – with Matt Willispromising it will be their “best ever”.
Speaking exclusively in RETROPOP’s May 2023 cover feature, he said: “We have so many ideas,. We’re in the stage where we’re throwing everything at people and they’re saying, ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.’ Then they come back and say, ‘No, no, no, no, no – that’s gonna cost you all of your money. You can’t do that!’
“But at the moment, we’re just coming up with the coolest shit we can think of and if 30 per cent of what we’ve come up with happens, it will be the best show ever.”
