Bryan Adams is back with the title track from his forthcoming album ‘How’s It Goin”.
Billed as “a record about Canada” that explores what he calls a “distinctly Canadian musical landscape”, the new tune is an uptempo, country-leaning stomper packed with cultural references and observations on everyday life.
‘If you cross these tracks and are trying to meet / People on these northern streets / It ain’t no secret – you can hold your own / Simply say – how’s it goin”, he sings on the chorus.

Ahead of its release on November 6 via Bad Records, Adams will play a trio of in-store shows at Norwich UEA on October 16, Leeds TESTBED on October 17 and Kingston’s Circuit on October 18. He’ll perform tracks from the album and take part in a Q&A with fans.
In a statement, the rocker says of his latest LP: “The idea was simply to make a record about Canada.
“It started with writing the song for the documentary Canada’s Wild Eastern Edge and after doing so much research, I was inspired to start writing more songs about Canada. Musically it took me somewhere a little different too, which made the whole thing exciting.”
Clocking in at 12 songs, ‘How’s It Goin” blends country, folk and rock, exploring what he calls a “distinctly Canadian musical landscape”, while touching upon historical figures and moments that shaped the nation.
Included are recent singles ‘The Ballad of Terry Fox‘ and ‘51st State‘.
‘How’s It Goin’’ is released on November 6 and available to pre-order from Amazon, HMV, Rough Trade, Townsend and more.
